Are the pavements too hot?

Live check
Is it too hot to walk today?
Hourly air temperature, apparent temperature and UV from Open-Meteo. Pavement heat is an estimate from those figures, not a ground sensor. The hand test still decides.
How it will decide
- There is no remote temperature sensor. The decision starts with the hand test described in the hot pavements guide.
- If the hand test fails, the result is to change the walk. A cooling vest is not offered as a way to keep going.
- Boots are mentioned only if the pet is a dog and you say they already tolerate them. Sizes on the listing are unconfirmed.
- Cats are steered away from the dog vest. A mat is described as a resting surface, not a treatment.
