Can I walk my dog today?
By Josh Elgram, WellPawed. Last updated .
A walk check using your pet profile, the date, and weather you confirm. It will not tell you the walk is safe.
Not veterinary advice. Answers are not saved on a server.
Live check
Is it too hot to walk today?
Hourly air temperature, apparent temperature and UV from Open-Meteo. Pavement heat is an estimate from those figures, not a ground sensor. The hand test still decides.
How it will decide
- The tool reads species, breed, age band and weight from the on-device pet profile when one exists. Nothing is uploaded.
- A weather provider is to be confirmed. Until then the tool asks you to describe the conditions. It does not call a forecast.
- It flags three reasons to think twice: a pavement that fails the hand test, storm or ice you have reported, and dates close to 5 November.
- It links the water, heat and Bonfire Night guides. It never returns an all-clear.

FAQ
Is this veterinary advice?
No. WellPawed tools are practical checklists. They do not diagnose, prescribe or say that a walk or a product is safe.
Does it use my location?
Not in this version. A weather source is to be confirmed, so the tool asks you what it is like outside.
